Remember how my miscellaneous room (aka the third bedroom) recently looked like this?...
...and then I put up some shelves in the laundry room and got to this...
...well, I guess posting a picture of the mess was enough motivation...
(coupled with the fact that the in-laws will be here later this week)
...so it now looks like this...

Haha - this reminds me of our extra room. It took me a whole year and a few months to finally get it under control and my motivation: my in-laws were coming and needed a room to stay in. Haha!
