beach trip

We took our (what has become) annual trip to the less densely populated part of Destin, Florida in the quiet time of the year.
Usually it is warm and perfect, this time was chilly but still fun.

 {we've built up quite a collection of beach tools and toys, but these shovels are what's used 99% of the time}

 {donuts from the Donut Hole...mmmmmm}

President's Day was also Des' birthday, so we broke out the cake that we had made at home and that he had decorated.

a Utah baby blessing

I went to Utah this past weekend to attend the baby blessing of my nephew, Ryan.
I brought Des and Evie and we flew in Friday evening.

 {love the sunrises I can see from my mom's}

On Saturday I made some cinnamon rolls for the family gettogether at David's the next day, went to Café Rio, and Evie got to play in the old hard snow (she was super happy about it).

Sunday morning we went to David's so I could meet Ryan before going to the church for the blessing.

 {my kids were absolutely tickled to talk back and forth with David's Alexa, making it make animal noises and play music}

We went back to David's after church for food and visiting.

 {baby Ryan is sure cute}

After hanging out for several hours it was back to the airport to head home.

{note the front tooth hanging on by a thread}

{that tooth came out on the plane}

These super tired kids were very unhappy with me when I woke them up to trek through the airport out to the car, but we made it.
