Painting Grandma's kitchen

So we've been down in Phoenix for a couple of days now, and the painting project is complete.
Grandpa stayed home and helped me out so it went more quickly than I had anticipated. (Plus he didn't mind the colors Grandma picked out so everything was hunky-dory).
This is the wallpaper that was up before.

A few kinks: 1) the walls under the wallpaper at the soffit in the kitchen had never been painted...

and 2) there was some water damage under the wallpaper where the water dispenser has been for 30 years.

Look at the different color changes depending on what light source hit the wallpaper over the past 30 years.

We put up a KILZ primer so nothing would bleed through to the new paint.

This is the paint treatment we did.

Finished product.

Another picture of the finished product.
And I even have an extra day to just veg and enjoy grandma's fantastic cooking!
