Summer

 

Lets catch up on some odds and ends of normal life over the summer.

May

{watching the Blue Angels fly by}

{working on the bathroom remodel}

{I have a book club with friends, we moved the party outdoors and distanced for the pandemic}

{finished potty training for the last time ever...hallelujah}

June

{Dad and Jann sent me one of my favorite tastes of home for my birthday}

{got the backerboard up in the bathroom}

{hydrangeas bloomed}

{Des lost a tooth}

{started waterproofing the shower area}

{ice cream dates}

{garage taken over by bathroom remodel materials} 

{walks}

{sorting and laying out the wall tile to keep the busy-ness of the veining of the marble even looking when putting it up}

{swimming at the neighborhood pool, we try to go at unpopular times so we can have it to ourselves}

July

{Curt had been working from home in our master bedroom, but then set up a make shift home office in the room that had been our gym connected to the back of our garage}

{4th of July our neighborhood had our own little parade throwing out candy}

{we had Des do our neighborhood swim team for a shortened, several week season this year}

{Curt had a birthday}

{grouted the wall tile}

{power washed the driveway}

{watching a thunderstorm roll by}

{burning our pile in the side yard, we are always adding to it and clear it out a couple times a year}

{went on a family hike to Amicalola Falls}

{put in the finish shower fixtures and drain}

{getting the windows replaced}

August

{Shauna did a grandma virtual cupcake decorating date with the kids}

{working on trim in the bathroom}

{initial round of working on countertops and faucets}

{school started...three kids doing school all virtually this year}

{immediately necessitated an upgraded router to handle all the video streaming going on in the house at the same time} 

{a shark tooth situation going on before losing his first teeth}

{switched light fixtures to brighter ones...much better}

{Curt upgraded his home office situation with a free desk from someone in the neighborhood}

{Curt and Des took a drive to a meetup point in Florida to pass along some baby stuff to Curt's little sister who was about to have a baby.}
