The Detroit Temple is in a very nice area about 16 miles north of downtown Detroit.
Curt voiced the observation that 16 miles doesn't seem like very far, but it really seems like a different planet than the warzone downtown looks like.

Wow, one of those bathrooms might be about the same size as our entire apartment.
Sweet. I don't think I would ever want a huge house. I refuse to have one too big for me to clean myself (ha ha, not that it's looking like we'd ever have that problem).
I want to know who in the world can live in houses like these?? It seems UNREAL.
You got me. Curt was reading about a country club in this area...due to the "tough times" people are having they've had to decrease they're membership fees from $110,000/year to $60,000/year. Blech, why would people waste so very much money?
