Utah: a big mine

One Saturday morning we headed up to the biggest open pit mine in the world to check out the big hole. 

 {this is the back of one of the trucks that are used in the mine, so big}

{the truck looks all normal size until you compare it to the green portapotties, each tire is 12' high}

 {several years ago there was a big landslide in the pit that buried millions of dollars of equipment, thankfully they had a little warning from a monitoring system and got all the people out}
