two trees down...several more to go

Our lot is really wooded.

It's one of our favorite things about where we live.

But there are some drawbacks...several trees are in spots that are nuisances (making mowing harder than it needs to be, inhibiting grass growth, dropping pine needles all over the roof), and a couple are even endangering the house (a big storm could knock them into it).

A good friend with much more tree felling experience came over and helped Curt take down two in the nuisance category.

Most of the rest will need to be taken down professionally, but it does feel good to start on the long list of yard improvement we have ahead of us.
